ES: Marco Avitabile es un guitarrista y compositor italiano, nacido en Pompeya en 1990 y actualmente radicado en Pisa, Italia.
Luego de algunos años de estudios clásicos, Marco ha comenzado a incursionar en su propia producción desde muy joven, participando activamente en la escena hardcore y metal local a través de diversos actos.
Más recientemente, comenzó a experimentar con la improvisación de forma libre, con un fuerte enfoque en la textura y el estado de ánimo.
Paciencia, como su título lo indica, es una obra exigente, que requiere que tanto el autor como el oyente se rindan por completo y se entreguen a lo que pueda venir.
El proceso de grabación sencillo y casero seguido por Marco para este álbum es realmente la clave aquí: improvisaciones en vivo de una sola toma, sin sobregrabaciones, sin ediciones, solo una colección de reacciones viscerales y sin filtros de un guitarrista ante el sonido que sale. de su instrumento, el aire movido por su amplificador, el comportamiento errático de un pequeño conjunto de efectos.
Como ávido oyente que es, el trabajo de Marco coquetea constantemente con una serie de estilos diferentes: se podían escuchar ecos de shoegaze, blues, post-punk, jazz, ambient, pero en realidad estos esfuerzos instrumentales apuntan a liberarse de la categorización y poner el oyente dentro de un espacio mental imparcial, donde todo es posible y el significado es verdaderamente subjetivo.
Al deconstruir los tropos del género y abordar la guitarra como un lenguaje, la expresión y el sentimiento pasan a primer plano, dejando atrás la forma y la estructura hasta que desaparecen pacientemente.

EN: Marco Avitabile is an Italian guitarist and composer, born in Pompeii in 1990 and currently based in Pisa, Italy.
After a few years of classical studies, Marco has started venturing into his own production from a very young age, taking active part in the local hardcore and metal scene through various acts.
More recently, he started experimenting with free-form improvisation, with a strong focus on texture and mood.
Patience, as its title implies, is a demanding work, requiring both the author and the listener to fully give up and surrender to whatever may come.
The home-spun, stripped-down recording process followed by Marco for this album is really the key here: one-take live improvisations, no overdubs, no edits, just a collection of visceral and unfiltered reactions of a guitarist to the sound coming out of his instrument, the air moved by his amplifier, the erratic behavior of a small array of effects.
As the avid listener that he is, Marco's work is constantly flirting with a number of different styles: you could hear echoes of shoegaze, blues, post-punk, jazz, ambient, but really these instrumental endeavors aim at freeing themselves from categorization and put the listener inside an unbiased headspace, where everything is possible and meaning is truly subjective.
By deconstructing genre tropes and approaching guitar playing as a language, expression and feel come to the forefront, leaving form and structure way behind till they patiently disappear.
